- ➤ Howard Hughes began breaking ground on the Echo Community Center in Teravalis to create a new hub for Buckeye residents. The 22,000 square foot center will open in 2027 with a community event set for Nov. 15—offering a gym, dog park, water park, and pickleball courts. West Valley View

- ➤ Maricopa County is urging Buckeye residents to prepare for emergencies during National Preparedness Month as September ends the monsoon season—local officials advise creating emergency plans and packing go bags to counter storms, flooding, heat, and wildfires. West Valley View
