- ➤ Downtown Buckeye is changing Monroe Avenue after the city finished turning it from four lanes into two lanes last year — a step in a plan to make downtown more walkable and safe. City leaders will soon choose the next projects, adding parklets and utility upgrades from First to Ninth Street to help local shops and visitors. West Valley View
