The board will begin a search for a new superintendent and the assistant superintendent will run the district until next summer—while reviewing possible procurement and open meeting issues.

The city of Buckeye finalized its Nonprofit Community Funding Program on Sept. 16th by awarding 19 local nonprofits a total of $124,000 for fiscal year 2026—applications for next year's grants will open in June. This grant supports various local services that benefit residents.
